Today I’d like to introduce you to one of our loyal stockists, Enz’s! Manager, Cat, answers some questions for us:

Tell us about your shop! Where is it located and how long have you been in business?
Owner Mariann Marlowe opened Enz’s in New York City in 1972. It was the first punk rock shop in NYC, and sold Vivienne Westwood as well as many other British designers. Customers ranged from Andy Warhol, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, The New York Dolls, to the The Sex Pistols. Since then we’ve evolved into a rockabilly-inspired retro and 50’s reproduction dress store. Our clients include the likes of Helen Mirren, Lauren Hutton, Kylie Minogue, Georgia May Jagger, and of course, her mama Jerry Hall! We’ve also become a destination for many up and coming artists that want to wear vintage with an edge.
Currently, Enz’s has two locations. The East Village neighborhood is the home to our Manhattan shop and has resided at that location for over 10 years. Our newer shop opened 2 years ago in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.
When and how did you first find out about Trashy Diva? How long have you been a stockist?
I can’t remember exactly how we heard of Trashy Diva, but we’ve been selling since the days of silk dresses! At least 6 years, but probably more!
What are your top 3 favorite Trashy Diva dress styles of all time?
Cat’s three favorite dresses are:
1. Trixie in Turquoise Birds (2011)
2. Honey in everything, but especially the Steel Magnolias print (2015)
3. Hottie Mini in Blue Gingham (2013)
What is your favorite Trashy Diva style in your shop right now?
Right now we love the Lena Sarong! It’s beautiful and flattering on everyone! Even in the black rayon we sell it year round.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your free time?
When not working, we spend time going out to our favorite bars, Otto’s Shrunken Head, Manitoba’s, and Beauty Bar here in NYC and the tons of Rebel Night events! Floral Trashy Divas are great for jiving and hiding drink stains! 😉
Enz’s stocks recent styles like the Sadie Ruffle Dress in Victory Floral, the Streetcar and Lupe Dresses in Forget me Not Floral, as well as many discontinued gems! Check out their Trashy Diva selection at their New York City storefronts:
