Did you think I’d forgotten you, divas? It’s been chaos in New Orleans with Mardi Gras season well underway, but at Trashy Diva we’ve always got time to sit down and chat to our fans! In this week’s edition of Meet the Fans we’re getting to know Bristol, a bright and bold diva with excellent lipstick game!

Hi there Bristol! Tell us, how long have you been shopping with Trashy Diva?
It’ll be three years in June. My first purchases were made on my honeymoon in New Orleans, June 2014.

Where are you from, and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in New Jersey, in a very rural part of NJ right by the Pennsylvania border. I now live a couple of towns away, and still live in a very rural area, where there are tons of farms and beautiful mountains around me.

What do you do for a living?
I do Accounts Payable in the business office at a technical high school, and I love it.

I’m always in awe of our accounts payable officer – I don’t know how y’all juggle all those numbers! When you’re not being a financial magician, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’ve always been an avid reader, and am now especially into reading memoirs. I also have always had a passion for writing (I have an English B.A.), and have been writing a fashion blog for 3(!!!) years. The link is My TD dresses frequently appear on my blog, too. Otherwise, I LOVE to travel! I’ve been to 35 states and 3 countries. Nothing makes me happier than traveling with my husband, and so far New Orleans is my favorite place to visit.

I love outfit-of-the-day blogs! Your coordinates/ensembles are so cute! – so, how did you find out about Trashy Diva originally?
I came across it online, and I can’t remember how exactly I found the website, but I had already known about some other retro style brands at that point. I came across Trashy Diva’s website a couple of months or so before I went on my honeymoon, and even though I saw items that I loved, I wanted to wait to try them on in person first, in order to figure out sizing.

Confession time! Just HOW MANY Trashy Diva pieces do you own?
20 beautiful dresses!

What do you love most about Trashy Diva as a company?
I LOVE how flattering the cuts are, and how truly retro the pieces look. They are such gorgeous pieces of art, and I feel very confident when I’m wearing Trashy Diva!

What is your #1 favorite Trashy Diva item, and why?
Oh, that would hands down be my rockets print Annette, which I scored a year ago, from a lovely lady in the Desperately Seeking Trashy Diva Facebook group. I had been in search of any of the rocket print dresses (with the Annette being my #1 choice) ever since I went to New Orleans for my honeymoon, and bought the rockets bolero there. When I finally got my hands on the Annette, it fit like a glove, and was super flattering. It is my most worn dress.

If you could only save three pieces of your Trashy Diva collection from a fire, what would you choose?
#1 Rockets Annette, #2 Geisha Fans Honey, & #3 French Quarter Annette.

If you could be gifted one piece of Trashy Diva that you don’t currently own (from any era or collection) what would it be and why?
That would be the liquor labels Annette!

Who do you look to for style inspiration?
I look to ladies whose blogs I read, ladies I follow on Instagram, and the ever so stylish ladies in the DSTD Facebook group more than anything else.

I have to admit, I draw a lot of style inspiration from the Desperately Seeking ladies myself! Final question: is there anything else you want to share before we sign off?
I’d just like to say how happy I feel when I’m wearing a Trashy Diva dress. I love all the choices there are for prints and cuts. Trashy Diva just makes it so easy for me to express my truest style self, and I’m so glad I found the company!

We’re so glad you took the time to chat with us today, Bristol! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, divas, and if you’re in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, remember; avoid parade traffic at all costs!
