Welcome to another edition of “Meet the Divas”! Today we’re super excited to introduce not only a new diva, but one that occupies a new role at Trashy Diva. Meet one of our newest blond bombshells, Allison!

Hey, pretty lady! What’s your name, and what’s your job at Trashy Diva? How long have you worked at Trashy Diva?
Hi! My name is Allison, and I am the Inventory Manager. I just started working at Trashy Diva in May, but I am very excited about my new position! I obviously love the fabulous clothes (because who doesn’t?!), and it is an honor to be part of such a great team!

What do you love most about living in New Orleans?
New Orleans is my favorite city. I am from the Mobile, Alabama area, which is similar to New Orleans, so I instantly felt at home here. New Orleans is such a small big city- You get the conveniences of a big city, while still keeping the small town charm. There is always something to do, from festivals to trying new restaurants to seeing a show. The culture is extremely diverse, which is amazing to be able to experience so many different things in one place. It doesn’t hurt that the architecture is beautiful, either!

Confession time! Just HOW MANY Trashy Diva pieces do you own?
Not nearly enough! I only own a few pieces right now, but that will definitely change. I am new to New Orleans and Trashy Diva, so that is my excuse!

What’s your favorite dress and/or accessory in the stores right now?
My favorite dress right now is the Honey Sun Dress in Steel Magnolias. The latest take on our signature Honey Dressis perfect for summer, and the Steel Magnolias print is so pretty. It can easily be dressed up or down, and the subtle touches of lime green and coral in the mostly gray print make it super wearable to me.

If you could only save 3 Trashy Diva pieces from a fire, which ones would you pick?
1.) Bitsy Dress in Seersucker
I have had a thing for bows since I was a little girl, and everyone (men included) should own something in seersucker if you live in the South. It only makes sense to wear fabric that breathes in this heat and humidity, so you might as well wear something as adorable as the Bitsy Dress!

2.) Courtney Coat Dress in Black
This dress is THE definition of classic to me. I do not own it yet, but I can promise you I will! It makes me feel so chic, and I can totally picture Kate Middleton wearing it (she just doesn’t know what she’s missing!).

3.) Audrey Mini in Black Stretch
Every girl needs a LBD (Little Black Dress) in her closet, and this one is as timeless as its namesake. See? I told you I like the classics! It can be dressed up or down and changed for the seasons just by your shoes and accessories.

Which do you prefer… Halloween or Mardi Gras?
While I like Halloween, I absolutely prefer Mardi Gras! It is so fun and festive, and who can say no to king cake?!? Mmmm! Plus, I live half a block off the parade route so I have no excuse to miss any parade.

What are your style inspirations?
I always gravitate to the classics and neutral palettes; so naturally, I love Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Kate Middleton (I envy her coat dress collection!). I also adore all things French. Clothes, furniture, and architecture – they do it best! Additionally, I credit my Nana for my love of sewing, finely constructed clothing, and vintage style.

What’s your favorite book and film? (And which film has the best fashion in it ever?)
My favorite book is Little Women. I can honestly say I have read the whole thing, but I do admit it has been a while! Also, I really like To Kill a Mockingbird. I feel like it’s a must for a girl from south Alabama.

There are a lot of movies that I love, but Pretty Woman comes to mind. In my opinion, it is easily one of Julia Roberts’ best roles! My favorite classic film is White Christmas. It is, of course, my favorite Christmas movie, but I can watch it anytime.

What classic film stars are your favorite?
Audrey Hepburn and Julie Andrews are probably my favorites. Audrey Hepburn is so iconic, and I love that she wasn’t the typical blonde bombshell of her era. She was definitely a girl’s girl. Also, I love musicals, and Julie Andrews is in some of my favorites (The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins).

When you’re not at Trashy Diva, how do you like to spend your time?
Whether it is refurbishing furniture, sewing, or something Pinterest-inspired, I always seem to be working on some craft project. Aside from all my crafts, I love to bake, watch Auburn football (WAR EAGLE!), binge on Law and Order: SVUmarathons, read romance novels, try new restaurants with my husband, drink margaritas, walk around Audubon Park, eat bubblegum sno balls, play with puppies, shop, go to the beach, and just hang out with friends and family.
