ATLANTA GRAND OPENING

On May 13th, the Divas celebrated the official opening of our new Atlanta locations: Trashy Diva Atlanta and Trashy Diva Intimates Atlanta! We had an absolute blast partying with employees, friends, family, and fans. One thing’s for sure: Atlanta knows how to have a good time! (Thanks to Paperdolls By Dawn & Brooklyn Brat Images for the photographs!)

The party started at our boutiques in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. The stores, part of the new development at 675 N. Highland NE, are beautifully outfitted with vintage fixtures and plush detailing, making shopping a truly luxurious experience. The champagne flowed freely as fans flooded into the boutiques, eager to try on some pretties and enter for the chance to win some amazing giveaways.

We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces, including Katie and Amanda from Junebugs & Georgia Peaches, who drove in from Augusta and Nashville respectively to celebrate with us. The Atlanta Divas were excellent hosts, hustling and bustling to make sure everyone received the high standard of customer service Trashy Diva pride ourselves on (leaving room for obligatory selfies and snaps with fans, of course!)

After shopping till they dropped, fans and divas alike headed down the street to the Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge to continue the merriment! With a dazzling lineup of burlesque dancers from The Atlanta School of Burlesque plus a special guest appearance from New Orleans’ very own Trixie Minx, Trashy Diva turned the heat way, wayyyy up.

The burlesque show got off to a saucy start, with MC Shellie Schmals encouraging some highly enthusiastic male audience members to give us their very best Magic Mike. A little wardrobe malfunction confirmed that burlesque is better left to the experts, but hats off to you, boys! Once the ladies took the stage it was full steam ahead, with glittering routines from some of Atlanta’s finest.

Trixie Minx has our guests all a flutter.

After the performances, giveaways were drawn and a lucky few guests walked away with prizes from both of our boutiques, as well as gift certificates and freebies from local businesses such as The Plaza Theatre, Island Flowers, The Righteous Room, J. Sherman Salon, Paperdolls Boudoir, and the Woodbridge InnTwo lucky fans also burlesque classes and a private party from The Atlanta School of Burlesque, so perhaps we’ll see them on stage next time we’re in town!

Guests mingled long after the last of the tassels and pasties had shimmied off stage, seeking spiritual guidance from resident Tarot Diva (and Trashy Diva’s Social Media/Digital Marketing Director) Lady Asenath, and a snack from the wonderful folks at Sweet Auburn BBQ, who catered the event.

We had an amazing time celebrating with you, Atlanta! Now that our doors are officially open, we hope you’ll make the time to come and visit our gorgeous Georgia Divas and play dress up in person! And who knows…we may well throw another party before the year is through – y’all are just too much fun to resist!

xo xo,
