Divas, we’re so excited to welcome you to Divacon and to New Orleans! We know you may be traveling with your significant others who may not say yes to any dress, or tea party, or make-up tutorial. Never fear! Our city has so much to offer, and the divas are here to share some of the best spots in New Orleans for your dandies!
While the Swap & Sell is in full swing at the Windsor Court, we invite all DivaCon dates to meet in the Polo Lounge Club at the Windsor Court. We’ve secured a comfy space for this socializing hour, including complimentary snacks and a private cash bar with DivaCon drink specials. So if you and/or your special someone prefer to lounge than to swap, join us! We’ll even be hosting a giveaway for a Trashy Diva Fred Shirt so one lucky guest will leave in style.
Located just a skip away from our Magazine Street boutiques, Half Moon Bar & Restaurant is the perfect spot to relax while the divas get their shopping on. The roomy interior hosts bar seating, slightly more intimate table seating, and games: pool, darts, skee-ball–take your pick! A back patio offers a change of pace with picnic tables and cafe lighting. With Half Moon’s rotating drink specials, wide selection of beers, and tasty menu, you can’t go wrong with this no-frills bar and grill.
Cruise into Port Orleans Brewery for a taste of craft beer brewed below sea level! Located on Tchoupitoulas Street right beside the river, the tasting room boasts a menu of locally-themed brews including Riverview Lager and Storyville IPA. Port Orleans Brewery is both kid and dog friendly, with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Play games like corn hole and giant jenga on the patio that wraps around the front, side, and back of the brewery, and grab a bite from their kitchen–with a menu ranging from pretzels to Goulash to Pad Thai, you won’t leave hungry!

Don’t miss your chance to top off your DivaCon trip with a stop at the South’s Largest Hat Store! Established in 1894, Meyer the Hatter’s New Orleans hat shop is stocked with a well-curated selection of hats spanning decades of fashion trends. Hat’s off to Sam Meyer, still working five days a week at age 93! Family owned and operated, you’ll find up to three generations of Meyers when you stop by for a new hat or priceless hate advice from Stetson’s blog: “Wear the hat. Don’t let the hat wear you….And LOVE YOUR HATTITUDE!”
Thanks for reading, and we hope all divas and dapper dudes get a chance to check out some of the best places to visit in New Orleans. Whether your passion is fashion, food, or fun–we know you and your travel companions will have a great time–welcome!
